121 Watley's End Road is a registered nursing home that provides high levels of care for people with learning disabilities. Situated in the Winterbourne area of Bristol, the home is a large, spacious, 14-bed bungalow.
The home has a staff team dedicated to delivering support to residents who have a variety of profound and complex health needs. Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day.
The home caters for a wide range of needs including sensory impairment, epilepsy, communication difficulties, diabetes, feeding problems, full nursing and personal care needs and conditions associated with people with a physical disability. Staff are extensively trained to ensure they effectively meet the needs of each individual.
Every resident has their own key worker, providing some continuity in the care they receive. Care plans and health action plans are created for each resident, identifying the individual support and care they require and outlining their daily routine.
The home consists of: 14 bedrooms, shared bath and shower rooms, two lounge areas, dining room, 2 kitchens (one of which is used by residents), a multi-sensory snoezelen room, large garden and patio area, wide corridors and roomy bedrooms ensure easy access for wheelchair users, hoisting facilities.
