Acorn House offers quality residential, respite and dementia care, in a home from home atmosphere. Our home is comfortably decorated and you are surrounded by welcoming colour palettes for walls and soft furnishings, along with comfortable and supportive furniture to maintain that homely and personal feel.

We have 64 state-of-the-art bedrooms for our residents to reside in, all of which are tastefully decorated and feature en-suite bathrooms, TVs with Freeview, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge and much more. All of the rooms in Acorn House also feature a call bell system, so someone is always on hand to help if it’s needed.

There are plenty of places to socialise throughout our home, from the spacious dining areas and lounges where our residents can socialise with new friends, to our on-site cafe which is the perfect place to relax when friends and family visit. We’ve also got hairdressing facilities so our residents can look and feel their best, and there are lots of quiet spots around the home for relaxing, including areas with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving beautiful views of our outside areas.

Secure landscaped gardens surround our home, along with a sensory garden so our residents and their visitors can sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Acorn House is able to support both permanent & respite stays for people over the age of 65. If you are funded by the Local Authority/NHS please do get in touch to discuss how we may be able to support you. Supporting residential and specialist dementia; dementia care is provided within our dementia neighbourhood. Acorn House is registered for residential care only but our residents are supported with visits from the District & Community Nursing teams.
