Albion Court Care Home

Albion Court is a purpose-built residential care home on Clinton Street, in the Winston Green district of Birmingham, close to the city centre. We offer residential and dementia care plus also shorter-term respite stays. Our residents are drawn from across Birmingham, from towns such as Sandwell, Handsworth, Ladywood, Bearwood and Smethwick.

Albion Court has been designed to be a communal and comfortable environment, where we can deliver a high standard of round-the-clock care that centres on the well-being of each individual. We stress the importance of a holistic approach in home life, giving both mind and body equal care and attention, along with the values of respect and dignity.

The range of activities on offer is also varied; including monthly visits from professional entertainers such as Bollywood dancers, African drummers, Soul and Mowtown artists, Jazz musicians and classical music performers. There are regular services from representatives of various faiths and local churches, including a monthly visit from a local church gospel choir.

Our light and airy bedrooms have walk-in showers, and can be equipped with electric profiling beds if needed. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms as much as possible, and we find having familiar things around them eases the transition into their new home.

Our lounges provide a relaxing, communal atmosphere, with plenty of space for activities as well as quiet areas for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere or want private time with loved ones. Many of the doors open out onto gardens, bringing the outside in on warmer days.

The weekly cost of care at Albion Court Care Home is subject to care assessment. We may accept residents who are funded by the Local Authority but this will be under our Manager's discretion.
