Alder House is a Nottingham care home based in Nuthall and quite an exceptional place, even if we say so ourselves! It’s noticeable as soon as you cross the threshold and meet the residents and staff. The sense of togetherness is so apparent that you can't help but notice it, it is something we have worked hard to cultivate and are really proud of.

The home is just off the A610 Nottingham Road in Nuthall, adjoining one of the entrances to Broxtowe County Park and a three-minute walk from the Phoenix tram stop for trams into Nottingham. Our residential, dementia and respite care for residents is of the highest quality and focused on enhancing each and every resident’s well-being.

All bedrooms are spacious and fully en-suite with walk-in showers and 3/4 size beds as standard. We also have a handful of companion suites with their own small kitchenette and living room, ideal for couples who like that extra bit of independence. All our interiors are well furnished and comfortable and sociable places.

We pay special attention to our expert dementia care. We have a café full of objects from yesteryear which remind residents of the past and how times have changed. This place is popular with guests and is alive with chatter for large parts of the day. There is no shortage of talking points with the decor used in our therapeutic reminiscences, which in combination with our music as used as a key therapeutic tool.
