Blaenos House Nursing Home in Llandovery is a 38-bed home for older people with specialist dementia nursing care supported. The home is set in a picturesque 2 storey country house with extensive grounds.
All of our residents have their own bedroom which they are encouraged to make their own. All rooms come equipped with electric profiling beds and furnishings. Should a new resident wish to bring their own items of furniture then providing they pass health and safety regulations we will do our best to accommodate this.
Nutrition and hydration are held at high importance at Blaenos House Nursing Home and all of the meals are prepared and cooked on-site. We use local produce as much as possible and ensure that residents have a balanced diet. For residents living with dysphagia, we prepare meals, pureed foods and smoothies that are easier to swallow and look appealing to eat.
If you've been granted funding from Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding, we will be able to support you at Blaenos House Nursing Home because we are a registered nursing home. Our cost per week greatly depends upon the complexity of a prospective residents care needs which will be determined by a Care Needs Assessment. We are able to support individuals with a wide range of care requirements including end of life care and respite care.
