Calway House

Calway House in Taunton supports elderly residents with a range of healthcare needs. Calway House is situated in a quiet residential area, just a mile from the centre of Taunton, and our home is modern yet beautiful, surrounded by lovely garden areas.

All of our residents have their own bedrooms, and they are encouraged to make it their own by bringing in additional furniture and other personal items.

Calway House has a dedicated Petals dementia care suite and many of our residents with dementia particularly enjoy our reminisce sessions and our staff love getting to hear about the varied lives of each of our residents.

We encourage all of our residents to partake in the daily activities programme at Calway House. Activities are tailored to the interests of our residents as well as trying to offer them something new. If you’ve been a keen cook or gardener all your life we see no reason for this to change and our care staff will be on hand to support you. Family members are also very much encouraged to come and join in with our dementia-friendly activities.

All the residents at Calway House have their own unique, personalised care plan. A care plan takes into account not only care needs but the resident’s wishes. The care plan is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.
