Charlton Court Care Home in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear provides Nursing care for up to 55 individuals with a range of needs and healthcare requirements.

The home is in the heart of the community, close to local shops and amenities including the library and the church.

The home has a lively and up beat atmosphere, the staff really enjoy their jobs and this shows in the excellent level of care and support the residents receive.

We try our best every day to put a smile on the faces of our residents, the staff show a great deal of caring and compassion towards them and really engage with personally with everyone at the home.

Our home has a full-time Activities Coordinator; who arranges activities such as arts and crafts sessions, quizzes, painting, a knitting club, music nights and music quizzes. In the summer we even have drinks in the garden!

We go out to the local community and they come to us, our residents often use the local shops and the local places of worship. The local church holds a service at the home every Wednesday, and once a month we have a huge service with communion.

Pupils from local schools also visit us over the festive period and hold a carol service which is much loved by all at the home. A community centre opposite the Home sends in young people working with the Prince’s Trust, we regularly have animals in the Home.
