Cooksons Court

Cooksons Court in Yeovil is a purpose-built home situated in a quiet residential area and we support elderly residents with a range of healthcare needs. Cooksons Court is within close proximity of local amenities such as newsagents, pubs and a small park.

Many of our residents with dementia particularly enjoy our 'Reminisce' sessions and our staff love getting to hear about the varied lives of each of our residents.

Cooksons Court has an activities co-ordinator who organises a variety of events and activities for residents to take part in. These range from arts and crafts, to music and our popular gardening club. Family members are also very much encouraged to come and join in with our dementia-friendly activities.

At Cooksons Court we encourage residents to make full use of communal areas including lounges, the dining room and outdoor areas. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in.

All the residents at Cooksons Court have their own unique, personalised care plan. A care plan takes into account not only care needs but the resident’s wishes. The care plan is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.

We support individuals with end-of-life care needs both through our in-house nursing team & visits from specialist nurses, GPs and relevant healthcare professionals.

Weekly fees at Cooksons Court are dependent on a care needs assessment; to find out an indicative cost please give us a call to go through your care requirements. If you have been awarded Continuing HealthCare (CHC) funding, again please give us a call to discuss how we can support.
