Cote House provides nursing care and support for people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. The service offers long-term, short-term, respite and convalescent care, and is also able to provide day care places.
The service particularly prides itself on the quality and dedication of the staff team. There is a qualified general nurse on duty at all times, who is able and equipped to provide clinical support, and a team of support workers, who together ensure each person’s social, emotional and medical needs are monitored and met. All staff take a pride in their work. The service has close links to other healthcare professionals and the local doctor visits once a week.
Apart from the dedicated care team, the service has an activities coordinator whose role is to facilitate a wide range of activities and to ensure that individuals’ hobbies and interests continue to be developed.
Cote House has a holistic approach to caring for people who have degenerative and life limiting or threatening conditions. The service is very friendly, fun and optimistic; ensuring that every day is a special day that has value and purpose for everyone.
Cote House is set within its own grounds in a quiet residential area of Chippenham, within easy reach of the town centre. The service has a large elegant lounge area, a conservatory and a spacious dining room. Bedrooms are personalised to suit individuals’ wishes and tastes. The service is well equipped with moving and handling aids to enable everyone to have a full and active lifestyle. The large garden is wheelchair accessible and has raised flower beds and a vegetable plot, where individuals are encouraged to tend produce that they are particularly interested in growing or like to eat.
Cote House has 11 single bedrooms, located on the ground and first floors. Bedrooms on the first floor can be accessed by the passenger lift. Specialist baths and a wet room are also provided.
