Dearne Valley Care Centre

Close to the former South Yorkshire mining communities of Bolton upon Dearne and Goldthorpe, Dearne Valley is a purpose-built care centre for older people. With 20 residential care beds and 20 dedicated to residents with dementia, Dearne Valley has recently been refurbished and re-decorated to create a cosy and comfortable home. All 33 single rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities and modern equipment to ensure the health and safety of residents with limited mobility.

Our activities coordinator plans a regular programme of games, including bingo and Scrabble as well as arts and crafts. The entertainment schedule features a range of musicians and entertainers and, in the summer, the trips to the seaside town of Cleethorpes are particularly popular.

Dearne Valley Care Centre looks forward to special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries where our Cooks can excel in their baking skills. Families and friends are always encouraged and welcomed to our homes and we freely provide refreshments for residents and their guests throughout the day.

At St Philip’s care we believe that the dining experience should be special and not rushed. We ask all of our residents about their likes and dislikes, to ensure our resident have a choice of options they will enjoy.
