Dovedale Court is located in Ingol a delightful and quiet suburb of Preston. Dovedale has created a Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people with Dementia to live and feel part of their community

The Memory Lane community at Dovedale Court has been specially designed following these guidelines: The care we provide supports our resident's freedom of choice and we aim to develop their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence whilst living at Dovedale with us.

We have created a home-like feel where the environment has been appropriately adapted to meet the needs of the ladies and gents who live with us - who are experiencing dementia. This includes special crockery, tableware and kitchens, alongside enclosed sensory gardens with low-risk walkways.

We ensure that the ladies and gents who live with us feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia rather than just ‘exist’ with it. Key to the success of the service at Dovedale Court is our top-quality staff who provide 24-hour care to the lovely ladies and gents who live with us. They undertake specialist Dementia Care Training via Barchester’s Dementia Care Programme. Staff regularly participate/attend Dementia Care Forums, ensuring that we are delivering quality care based on good practice (best practice).
