Ideal Home

Ideal Home is a beautifully converted manor house with 2 sections; the main house has been converted and supports younger adults over the age of 30 years with personal care whilst the purpose-built extension provides personal care for EMI residents over the age of 65 years.

We encourage residents to make full use of shared areas at Ideal Home including lounges, the dining room and outdoor areas. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space where they feel fully settled and comfortable in. Some of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and we can also accommodate couples in our double rooms.

Excellent nutrition and hydration are an essential part of staying well as we age. Ideal Home is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions! The main meal of the day is lunch with a lighter meal served in the evening.

We have a fun, action-packed activities rota which is managed by our dedicated Activities Coordinator. Activities that make a regular appearance on the calendar include trips to restaurants and museums, flower arranging, hand massages and visits from professional entertainers.
