Kingfisher House Care Home

You’ll find Kingfisher House surrounded by its own grounds in a quiet cul-de-sac half a mile from the town centre within easy reach of local shops and public transport.

We provide residential care for people who need a little help with daily tasks like washing, dressing or eating, along with nursing care for those with more complex medical needs. We also offer either residential or nursing care for people living with dementia, respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break and intermediate care as an alternative to a hospital stay.

Listening to our residents is one of the most important things we do, so that we can truly get to know them and make sure they get the most out of every day. Our busy activities programme includes bingo, board and word games, monthly coffee mornings and visits from local entertainers and volunteers. We also welcome local school children to share singing and other activities.

Before becoming a resident at Kingfisher House our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.
