Latham Lodge

Formerly a substantial 1930’s family residence, Latham Lodge has been sensitively converted to provide the highest standards of nursing care for up to 39 elderly people in an environment that retains a real sense of home. Latham Lodge is located in an attractive residential area in Purbrook, on the outskirts of Portsmouth in Hampshire.

Latham Lodge benefits from the most up-to-date facilities and the very highest standard of décor. Residents’ rooms and the bright, spacious communal areas have all been finished to meet the most demanding standards – those of the elderly people we care for, their families and loved ones. Period features have been retained, adding to the sense of homeliness and, when the weather is fine, residents can enjoy the delightful gardens.

Latham Lodge offers a full range of nursing care support, including trial stays, short stay and convalescent care, as well as long-term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Latham Lodge operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times.

Here at Latham Lodge we offer a wide and varied daily activities programme which changes to make the most of the Great British seasons! Daily activities are planned for both morning and afternoon which take into account the interests of our residents. We also welcome community groups and schoolchildren into our home so residents can stay connected with their local community.
