Lochduhar Care Home

Lochduhar is situated on the outskirts of Dumfries. The home benefits from the best of both worlds: plenty of local amenities with a regular bus service to and from the town centre and only a short drive to the Solway Coast.

We provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in our Memory Lane Community. Alongside this, we offer services for people with a physical disability and people with mental health issues, in a secure setting.

Our mission statement notes that: "by putting quality first in everything we do for our residents, relatives and staff, we aspire to be the most respected and successful care provider." In addition, the main objective of the service is: "to foster an atmosphere of care and support which both enables and encourages our residents to live as full, interesting and independent a lifestyle as possible".

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are the cornerstone of daily life at Lochduhar Care Home. We place importance on protecting residents meal-times as good nutrition and hydration are key to staying well. Our daily menu always offers a choice of at least 2 dishes for each meal time and individual dietary requirements are always catered for. Family members of residents are very welcome to ‘book-in’ and join us for a meal.
