Maitland House is conveniently located less than a mile from Reading town centre and within easy reach of local shops, amenities and transport services for easy access to the rest of Reading. The home is situated just 15 minutes away from Junction 11 of the M4, in a quiet conservation area between Bath Road and Tilehurst Road

The home has several comfortable areas for residents to relax with family and friends including a choice of lounges and the lovely garden, with a heated gazebo where all residents can enjoy the changing seasons. We have an open visiting policy with no restrictions on visiting times.

All residents have their own ensuite bedrooms with individual phone and television points and a nurse call system. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms with treasured possessions, and requests for small pieces of furniture can be accommodated subject to passing health and safety requirements.

Activities at Maitland House are planned around the interests of our residents as well as trying to offer them something new. Our varied social programme offers a choice of group and one-to-one stimulating activities but participation is optional. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and are free to organise their own days.

Maitland House offers a choice of tasty, nutritious, meals catering to all tastes and diets, special dietary needs or cultural requirements. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and the menus are updated regularly to accommodate feedback from our residents.
