Mill Green

Mill Green provides a long-term home for some of our residents. For others, we provide rehabilitation, respite and short-term residential care. Many of our residents have physical disabilities or long-term conditions, sometimes accompanied by visual or hearing impairment, acquired brain injury and cognitive or learning disabilities.

At Mill Green, we have created an atmosphere that encourages friendship and socialising in a warm, homely and welcoming environment. Mill Green is designed into two small households, all on the ground floor. We've 15 bedrooms all of which have ensuite facilities.

The two households share a lounge and dining area, with a kitchenette where people can make their own snacks and drinks, or cook a full meal if they choose. We have a large garden with raised planters for residents to grow and tend to their own flowers and vegetables, as well as poultry.

Residents can take part in the daily living routines of their home if they want to, such as shopping, cooking, gardening and a variety of leisure activities. We have a small domestic laundry room where a number of our residents prefer to do their own washing.

We adapt our spaces to meet the specific needs of residents to make mobility as easy as possible, and we make sure we have facilities such as computer access and pool tables, so that residents can continue to pursue their individual interests. We also have our own wheelchair accessible transport, which is available for organised trips, appointments or visiting friends and family.
