Murdoch House Care Home

You’ll find Murdoch House surrounded by open countryside within easy walking distance of the town’s park, shops, restaurants and library, with train and bus services even closer.

Before becoming a resident at Murdoch House our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.

Our team provides residential care for people who need a little help with daily tasks like washing, dressing and eating, along with respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break. Residents are at the heart of life at Murdoch House and we’re very proud of our home’s warm and welcoming family atmosphere.

Listening to our residents is one of the most important things we do, so that we can truly get to know them and make sure they get the most out of every day. Our activities coordinators run a busy programme with lots of variety including visiting entertainers, singing, pet therapy, quizzes, trips into town for shopping, shows and panto. We also offer plenty of one-to-one activities to suit each resident’s individual interests.
