The Hay Wain

The Hay Wain Care Home is located in Hanchett Village and provides first-class standard care 24/7. We can support residents who have residential, dementia, respite or end of life care requirements in a safe and welcoming environment.

We encourage residents to make full use of shared areas at The Hay Wain including comfortable lounges, the dining room and outdoor areas. Outside, we have lovely gardens with an extensive lawn, water features and a decking area where flower pots are tastefully arranged. We have loads of outdoor seating areas where residents can relax, socialise and observe the wildlife.

Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space where they feel fully settled and comfortable in. We have a range of bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, telephone points and TV aerial sockets.

Our wonderful Activities Co-ordinator arranges activities customised to our residents’ preferences. Regular activities include arts and crafts, quizzes and live entertainment. All activities are completely optional, but for those who wish to take part, the calendar is displayed around the home and within our regular newsletter.
