The Martins

Here at The Martins, we support 42 residents with residential and residential dementia care. Overlooking Abbey Garden ruins and the River Lark, The Martins offers a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our passionate care team receive extensive training, including dementia care to ensure that they are fully equipped to meet the needs of our residents.

We have a trained music therapist who is funded by charitable donations and interacts directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. Activities include singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting.

Residents participate in reminiscence activities, including doll therapy, designed to stimulate social interaction and alleviate the feeling of isolation associated with dementia. Our dementia areas open into a secure and peaceful garden where residents can relax.
