Waterbeach Lodge

Waterbeach Lodge is a stunning, purpose built Care Hotel just 6 miles from the city-centre of Cambridge. Set in no less than 6 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Waterbeach Lodge is home to 46 residents.

The original site of the home was established in 1818 and was a Convent for Nuns of the Carmelite Order, remaining that way until 1970. Scimitar acquired the site in 2009 and the entire site was demolished before Waterbeach Lodge was built.

No expense has been spared on the interior of the home, affording the air of a 5-star hotel throughout. The ground floor lounge has been designed to offer an area in which residents can converse, partake in daily activities or simply enjoy the views of the wildlife that frequent the extensive grounds of the home.

All bedrooms have en suite facilities and the décor fuses contemporary comfort with timeless glamour. All rooms are complimented with direct-dial telephone and TV facilities, alongside state of the art adjustable orthopaedic beds and emergency call system. The spacious design of the home means there are no restrictions when it comes to using wheelchairs and hoists.
