Westacre Nursing Home

Situated in the picturesque area of Sleepers Hill in Winchester, Westacre Nursing Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission as a care home. Westacre provides care for older people with physical care needs and those with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

The home provides care for 50 residents with a dedicated team of nursing and care staff. Trained nurses include RGNs and RMNs, available at all times, including out of hours. With additional support from Senior Nurse Management or a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Mental Health and Home Manager.

Westacre Nursing Home facilities include single occupancy rooms with variable en-suite facilities, limited double rooms for partners, stylishly furnished and decorated sitting rooms, dining rooms where nutritious, healthy food is served, spacious gardens and an outside seating area.

The care we give at Westacre is person-centred and tailored to meet the needs and wishes of every unique individual. We provide care and support with the individuals identified needs and encourage the person to retain their strengths for as long as they are able to do so. We also actively encourage families and significant others to be involved in planning the right care for their loved one. Using the ‘This is Me’ lifestyle profile we build a picture of the residents likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, wishes and expectations.
