Helping Hands Darlington is part of the Helping Hands group with more than 30 years’ expertise offering respite, nurse-supported, companionship, specialist dementia and emergency care to support clients with a range of healthcare requirements. We supply experience hourly, overnight or live-in home care specialists to people with care needs, who want to live independently in comfortable and familiar surroundings.

Our two main services are live-in care or visiting care, at intervals chosen by you from as little as a 30-minute call once a week. Our home care service is closely monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and means that you or your loved one will be provided with domiciliary care by a professional Carer who is at hand to help with all aspects of daily living.

Our hand-picked carers are carefully chosen to match the client’s needs, personality and interests. They support clients to maintain their independence and lifestyle with activities and hobbies inside the home or out in the community and even help organise outings. Your carer is trained to respect your home, belongings, lifestyle and choices without judgement.

Helping Hands carers liaise closely with healthcare professionals and are trained to be able to support a wide range of personal care services. Each client has a detailed support plan completed at their initial assessment that is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal preferences.
