Allington Court Care Home

Allington Court is a purpose-built dementia care home. The home is dedicated to caring for adults living with dementia, from early onset to more complex end-of-life needs, the home provides all types of dementia care including nursing, residential, Parkinson's and short-stay care.

The home has its own dementia champions who work to improve the quality of life for residents through daily activities and opportunities for reminiscence and stimulation. Furthermore, everything at Allington Court is on one floor and the building has a circular design, making it easier for residents to find their way around. The home’s interior has been decorated to suit individuals with dementia, being colour-themed and including memory triggers.

With the help of their loved ones, staff build a picture of their life story and their likes and dislikes. Staff can then personalise care and help them live the way they want to. Communication and engagement is a big part of life here, too. So, if your loved one finds it easier to use signs and symbols to communicate, the team are happy to use Makaton.

Weekly fees at Allington Court are dependent on a care needs assessment; to find out an indicative cost please give us a call to go through your care requirements. If you have been awarded Continuing HealthCare (CHC) funding, again please give us a call to discuss how we can support.

Allington Court supports individuals with dementia & end-of-life care needs both through our in-house nursing team & visits from specialist nurses, GPs and relevant healthcare professionals.
