Our team provides round-the-clock nursing care for those living with complex medical needs, together with intermediate care as an alternative to a hospital stay following an illness or injury. The warm and friendly atmosphere throughout our home is something everyone at Guthrie House is very proud of.
Listening to our residents is one of the most important things we do so that we can truly get to know them and make sure they get the most out of every day. Our dedicated activities coordinator has planned a busy programme including visits from local entertainers and regular outings for lunch, trips to the beach, theatre and other performances. We also have strong links with local voluntary groups and churches, sharing their activities.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are the cornerstones of daily life at Guthrie House Care Home. We place importance on protecting residents meal times as good nutrition and hydration are key to staying well. Our daily menu always offers a choice of at least 2 dishes for each meal time and individual dietary requirements are always catered for. Family members of residents are very welcome to ‘book-in’ and join us for a meal.
