Warde Aldam

At Warde Aldam Nursing Home in Pontefract, we support 60 residents with nursing and dementia nursing care requirements. We are a single-storey nursing home based in a lovely market town with wonderful grounds and wildlife.

Each resident at Warde Aldam has their own single bedroom, many of which have en-suite facilities. All rooms come equipped with electric profiling beds and high-quality furnishings. Should a new resident wish to bring their own items of furniture, providing they pass health and safety regulations we will do our best to support this.

For our residents with dementia, it is really helpful if family members are able to support care-staff in putting together a Memory Book. Memory Books are a brilliant aide-memoire for residents and help them to share their life-stories with staff and fellow residents.

Our residents are encouraged to partake in the extensive activities rota, orchestrated by our Activity Coordinator. Activities include but are not limited to animal visits, music therapy sessions, flower arranging, armchair exercises and poetry writing.
