6 Northumberland Road

This home offers five people the opportunity to develop skills and confidence which enable recovery whilst lining in 24 hours supported residential accommodation.

Individuals are involved in their own recovery programme from the beginning at Northumberland Road. Once it has been agreed that a person will benefit from the service offered, a period of pre-engagement work takes place. During this time the individual will visit the home at least once a week over a period of some months, to get to know the team and people already living at the home.

The service is very time-specific. A programme usually lasts around two years but may be longer or shorter depending on individual needs. During their programme, each person is encouraged and enabled to evolve a highly personalised developmental programme to maximise his or her independence. The aim for each person using the service is to begin to plan and live the life they choose.

Northumberland Road is a care home providing residential, respite and learning disabilities care. Weekly fees at Northumberland Road can vary depending on the type of room and the level of care required. We will work with clients who are eligible for local authority funding.
