Acacia Mews Care Home

Acacia Mews Care Home is a high-quality residential and dementia care home situated on St Albans Road East on the outskirts of Hatfield. We are proud to say that we have recently gained an overall rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission. Acacia Mews Care Home boasts three floors of spacious bedrooms, all with a standard of a flat-screen TV and walk-in, en-suite showers. Furthermore, our top floor is perfect for couples who like a little more independence as it comes with suites which are equipped with kitchenettes, suitable for couples who like a little more independence.

Our residential care home is welcoming, comfortable and companionable. Our compassionate care staff and management work hard to settle in all our residents as quickly as possible in their new homes. We work hand in hand with family members of the residents to ensure that every care package is unique and tailored to the individual. We have regular consultation meetings with residents and their family members to ensure that the direction of their home life and care is purposeful and meets the resident's needs.

Residents can socialise in our wonderful lounges with one another or with family members which are where our residential care home really comes to life. Residents can take part in one of our many organised activities: play a board game, enjoy an aperitif, or simply chat over a cup of coffee and a slice of the chef’s freshly baked cake. Furthermore, there are many quiet rooms where residents can enjoy the calmer more relaxed atmosphere with a book or newspaper should they choose to do so.

We are well connected to the local communities; groups, schools and societies that play an integral part in the daily life at our home and are often invited to visit for a day. We make regular day-trips out to local sites of heritage interest, as well as shopping trips to a nearby town centre and visits to cafés, churches, garden centres, pubs as well as many other places!

Acacia Mews Care Home is a residential care home with carers on hand to support residents 24/7 with their care needs. The weekly cost of care at Acacia Mews Care Home is dependant on the individual care requirements. We may be able to accept residents who receive funding support from their local council but this will be under the Home Manager's discretion.
