Chater Lodge Care Home

Chater Lodge Care Home is situated in the lovely rural village of Ketton, near Stamford. Our home has been recently refurbished and provides residential and specialist dementia care to a maximum of 45 residents. As part of the refurbishment we now have our own bar and cafe for residents and visitors to enjoy!

Care is provided to people on both a permanent and respite basis. Respite care is temporary care to give both yourself and your Carer, often a family member, a rest. Respite care is normally provided for a minimum of 4 weeks, often residents who come for ‘respite’ become ‘permanent’ as they don’t want to leave!

Chater Lodge Care Home is part of the Barchester group of care homes, as such it benefits from their national programmes of excellence. Dementia care is delivered in-line with our national ‘dementia care’ strategy and home’s are supported by no-less than 7 dementia specialists. Living areas for our residents with dementia have been adapted to provide the best possible living environment for care to be delivered.

We have a wide and varied activities programme for our residents to get involved with. We have a full-time Activities Coordinator at Chater Lodge Care Home who goes above and beyond to ensure there is a varied programme of activities for the residents to partake in. As well as group activities, residents are also given the opportunity to do one-to-one activities in the community with a member of our activities team.

Food is an important part of daily life, our Head Chef goes above and beyond to deliver culinary excellence. The day starts with a choice of cereal, toast or cooked breakfast, lunch consists of 2 to 3 courses and then dinner is normally something a little lighter! Our kitchen team undertake training in catering for people with modified diets to ensure they are getting all the nutrients they need from their food.
