The Briars is a highly-rated not-for-profit care home in Sandown, Isle of Wight, which delivers 24/7 award-winning residential and dementia care.

Part of leading charitable provider Greensleeves Care, The Briars provides accommodation and specialist care to 36 older people. The home also offers a dedicated day care service.

The original Victorian building has been refurbished and extended to provide a specialist care setting. All 36 bedrooms are light and spacious and feature en-suite facilities. The bedrooms are stylishly furnished and residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. With the sunnier climes of the Isle of Wight, the garden is the perfect place to relax. The Briars’ gardens are a stunning place to be - easily accessible via walkways this beautiful space is designed to stimulate the senses.

On duty 24 hours a day, the home’s dedicated multi-disciplined team, provide high quality care. Staff at The Briars perform reminiscence exercises with the residents, so that they can understand people’s life stories and collate information about what is important to them.
