The Laurels

The Laurels Care Home is situated in the village of Draycott, 2 miles from Cheddar, at the foot of the Mendips Hills in the beautiful North East region of Somerset. At The Laurels we provide residential care in a friendly and homely setting. Our residents have every opportunity to continue to enjoy life in the community with a wide range of activities available both inside the home and outside.

At The Laurels, we offer long-term, respite and day care, in a comfortable home-from-home rural village atmosphere. Family-owned within the Country Court Care Group, we strive to promote the very best quality of life for those who live here. Surrounded by over an acre of its own productive garden within the beautiful Cheddar Valley, most rooms have countryside views. The house is within a short drive of both Cheddar and Wells, lying at the foot of the Mendips near Wedmore.

We know that quality nutritious food can make a real difference to our residents’ health and wellbeing. Country Court Care Chefs work closely with the care team to understand the needs and preferences of each resident.

We like to involve our residents in developing the weekly menus and regularly use vegetables and herbs grown in our garden. Fresh cakes are available daily for residents to enjoy with their visitors. We ensure that we ask for feedback by speaking to residents regularly about their meals.
