Blackwater Mill is set in 6 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with a 2 acre mill pond fed by the river Medina, providing a serene, idyllic and interesting environment in which to retire.
The building dates back to 1790 having once been a working grain mill, it has charm and character with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The home has recently been extended and refurbished to a high standard to provide all single room accommodation with en-suite facilities.
At Blackwater Mill, we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less agile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind. As such, we have two Wellbeing & Activities Co-ordinators on the team, whose role it is to run a programme of pastimes to stimulate both body and mind. Our chef will come to visit you in your first week to discuss your preferences and of course, the island-famous dessert trolley!
