Quenby Rest Home

Situated in Thorrington, Quenby Residential Home is close to the idyllic town of Brightlingsea. We provide a sensitive and caring environment for your loved ones in the beautiful Essex countryside near the sea.

We encourage our residents to partake in the daily activities programme at Quenby Rest Home. Activities are tailored to the interests of our residents as well as trying to offer them something new. If you’ve been a keen cook or gardener all your life we see no reason for this to change and our care staff will be on hand to support you.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are the cornerstone of daily life at Quenby Rest Home. We place importance on protecting residents meal-times as good nutrition and hydration are key to staying well. Our daily menu always offers a choice of at least 2 dishes for each meal time and individual dietary requirements are always catered for. Family members of residents are very welcome to ‘book-in’ and join us for a meal.

Before becoming a resident at Quenby Rest Home our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.
